To the Nutton family, I was his primary Nurse at MGH on Ellison 8 and really grew to love Bill! I called him my pal! I was with him and saw him go thru a lot in order to recover, it was a long haul but he always hung in there. But thru it all, he barely complained. And loved his ice! :) I'de give him a half a cup and t would be gone in minutes and he would take the spoon and stab the ice chips before eating them, haha. I actually discharged him from MGH to the rehab and I was sad to see him go- he was doing so well and had started walking! He was a man of few words ( at least there ) but he stared at me with his blue eyes & said to me that day, "you're going to miss me!" and he was right! It was probably the most he has said to me the whole time I was with him! So it really made me smile that he knew I really did care for him! Honestly, because he was so sweet!
Very surprised to hear this news , I truly thought he was on hIs way to recovery! He even walked 5 feet the day he left. I wish i could make the wake but i am working that day. My heartfelt condolences to the family. God bless, Carol
