Wanda Gines' Obituary
Wanda Gines, 59 of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Methuen, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Wanda was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on February 18, 1965. She was the daughter of Gloria (Nieves) Gines of Methuen and the late Ruben Gines, Sr. She received her bachelor’s degree in child development from Springfield College. She was a director at the Community Daycare Center in Lawrence, where she cared for many children in the Latchkey Program. Wanda loved music and was a disk jockey in her spare time. She had a caring soul and a big heart. She always helped her family and friends whenever possible.
Wanda will be deeply missed by her mother, Gloria; her three siblings, Rosa Muñoz, Glorimel Gines, and Ruben Gines, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Wanda’s life by gathering for her calling hours from 4 – 8 PM on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her funeral service will be celebrated at 9 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Guests are asked to meet at the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Saturday. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
