It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vincent F. Dolan on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was the loving son of the late Francis and Dorothy (Watson) Dolan. Born and raised Read Obituary
I was just informed that Vinnie had died. He was a colleague , a mentor to many; and a friend to all. I first met Vinnie in 1979 when my children started Head Start and he was a teacher. At the time, I was a volunteer bus monitor sharing two routes with his teacher aide Lee Worley. As years went on, promotions and job changes with Head Start became the norm. As years went by, he remained the same Vinnie Dolan. Brilliant, humble, and a light to many.

Vinny was my friend and co-"Harvest" member. We shared the "back row" on most stages. I was on "keys". We talked and laughed more while we were playing a song than most anyone can imagine. ( Maybe other musicians can share this thought).
One of my Polish Uncles ( at the Jade) would always yell out to Vin saying:
"hey Vinny--- SLAP THAT BASS".
I will miss my friend and all the sweet music we made together.

Precious Vinny, you and Colleen were so dear to me when we all lived in Sulphur. I have thought of you both often and know what a great guy you were. I am sure you will be missed dearly. It was inherent to Vinnie to wholly take upon himself to help others at and outside of work. His compassion and caring for others is noteworthy.
His love and expression in his music generated much joy to those listening and participating.
It was a privilege knowing Vinnie as an old friend and as a great person.
You and Allison will be in my thought and prayers.

Colleen, my deepest sympathy to you and Allison. I was so saddened to hear of Vinny's passing. Life pulls us in many different directions as time goes on and we sometimes lose touch with people, but one thing is for sure the wonderful memories that keep us together forever. So my memory is all the great times of seeing Vinny play in the HARVEST band at the Jade. He was a fun guy and made people happy and have a good time. Rest In Peace Vinny!

To the family of Mr. Dolan,
Mr. Dolan was my Head Start teacher. I will forever remember his kindness and humor. I later had the pleasure of interacting with him when he delivered Meals on Wheels to my disabled mother with whom he worked years ago @ Head Start. His memory will live on with both of us.
