Methuen – Patricia Jankowski-Abbott, 69 of Methuen, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Daniel P. Abbott, to whom she was married for 17 years. Patricia was born in Lawren Read Obituary
Pat has left this life for a better one. I pray for her peace as I console myself through the days ahead. She truly was a one of a kind person. There's a hole in my life that will not be filled by anyone else. She has left us all with so many stories to tell; nothing could honor her more. Laughter was her medicine. After I have no more tears, I will be thinking of her every time I laugh.
My heart goes out to all who have been blessed to know her. She loved us all.
My family has known Pat since she lived on Gloucester Street over 15 years ago. It’s hard to believe so much time has passed. She took an interest in our dog Fenway and came over and introduced herself with a big smile on her face. Since then I got to know Pat and her family very well. When I think of her now a quote from Dr. M. Angelou comes to mind, “my mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style.” For Pat this life’s mission was definitely accomplished! She had the ability to light up a room and fill it with fun and laughter like no one else! She lived a life of authenticity, and she always remained true to herself, and for that I admire her greatly. She found joy in the ordinary things in life that most people take for granted yet lived an extraordinary life filled with a passionate love for her friends and family. What a special gift, I like to think that quality stems from her unique lens through which she saw the world. Her artistic, vibrant style always showing through. What I saw, felt and experienced was that it was her family and good friends, not money or material goods, that gave her life meaning. I cherish the memories me and my family have of Pat and the way she touched our lives. We send our sincere condolences to Pat’s family who are grieving this truly extraordinary woman. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed!
I am not sure Pat has the ability to RIP and I honestly believe she is with the rest of the Jankowski clan having a great time, raising hell and keeping it real! Pat, Thank you for always being you!

I know you are most definitely happier where you are now with Jesse and the rest of your
family, but know that your larger than life presence is going to be missed beyond words. I
really don't know if you ever realized the impact you had on so many people here in

Pat was my neighbor in Hampton. Our condos are side by side. From the very first day she came to purchase the condo we became fast friends! Loving on Hampton on a very small community was like “Adult Dorm Living.” Pat and I shared spur of the moment late evening Frankie and Grace binge watching, popcorn making, out to lunches, walks and of course decorating ideas and endless shopping.
I can’t even think of returning to Hampton in the spring without you popping over to see me my friend!

I met Pat 18 years ago, when we worked together at Home Depot. We became fast friends. Together we quit the Depot on the same day and moved on but still remained in touch.
But in the past 9 years, We were closer than ever. We talked and got together as much as we could sharing our stories of family and friends and even intermingling the 2.
As you all know, there was no one like Pat. She was bighearted, funny, loud and full of life! I feel so privileged to have had her as one of my best friends.
Her love of family was something she cherished and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. She took care of everybody, no matter the cost to her.
I will miss our conversations, movie nights, Oscar short films, time at the beach condo, just sitting at my table eating pasta and having cocktails, her love of the arts, decorating expertise, her smile, voice and laugh, and her stubborn opinion. She was a wonderful person. No one is perfect, but, to me, she was " perfectly Pat".
My deepest sympathy 💔 😢 to the entire family. She can never be replaced but will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
