Norma Samoisette's Obituary
Norma Samoisette, age 88, passed away peacefully at Avita of Newburyport on April 16 2020. She was born February 22, 1932 in Methuen and educated in the Methuen schools. She then worked at Raytheon and went on to work at Western Electric (Lucent) as a tester and retired as a supervisor after 35 years. She was an active member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality at St. Lucy Parish, enjoyed walking, gardening, and most especially spending time with family and friends.
Norma was the wife of the late Donald Samoisette. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Kevin Wall. She was the loving grandmother of Joel Borek and his wife, Mylissa, and was the adoring great grandmother of Ruby and Layla. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Joaquin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Alfred Champey, by her brothers Paul and Louis Congo, and by her sister, Mary Champey.
All services will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Norma’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl. 17 Chicago, IL 60601. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date. A special thanks to the staff at Avita of Newburyport for the care and devotion that was extended to Norma.
