I worked at Malden Mills when Nelson, worked there in various departments. Nelson was always so uplifting when he would stop and chat with me and others and he would always have a huge smile. He was a hard worker and he will always remain in our hearts as our family at Malden Mills. I last chatted with him years ago at Lawrence City Hall and he made my day seeing that contagious laugh and smile.

My dear uncle Nelson, it breaks my heart to know you are no longer here with us! Always with a smile and a joke to brighten the day. In the toughest moments of my life you always seem to be there! You were always there for my family and no matter the situation always demonstrated love and unity. You welcomed all of those around you, and i still remember the day we visited my dear cousin Jennifer in the hospital and how even though I was young, I thought why do good people suffer? You always treated all your nieces and nephews like your own despite what sorrow you might have felt knowing your baby was in heaven. I appreciate all your advice and efforts to be involved in me and my family life. You were the best uncle I could’ve asked for! There when mom passed away and it feels like it just happened and now you left us too. God has truly gained a great angel. I love you forever, your niece (your favorite one) jajaj all of your nieces will say this! You have went on with Jennifer and my mama and grandma and so many more family and friends i know you’ll find away to make them laugh! As we bid farewell to Nelson, our hearts weigh heavy with sadness at his passing. Yet, amidst the sorrow, there is solace in knowing that he is reunited with Jennifer once again. His departure leaves a void in our lives, but his legacy of kindness, mentorship, and unwavering belief in the strength of community and family will forever illuminate our paths. Nelson was more than a mentor; he was a beacon of selflessness and compassion. His guidance and belief in the potential of others knew no bounds. To be coached and mentored by him was a privilege I will forever cherish. He instilled in me and all he encountered the conviction that nothing was impossible, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
