My mother taught with Mary many years ago but they kept in touch even after we moved away. We would visit Mary and Freddy every year and they would always greet me with a sack of candy, which I LOVED! I enjoyed our visits, cook outs and swimming in their pool. I thought Mary’s moo moo’s were AMAZING! :) One summer I pushed the glass door to go outside too hard and it shattered. I was so upset that I had broken their door but they were of course more worried about me and took me to the emergency room for 40 stitches. They were always so, so kind. Last summer I was in town and stopped by to see Mary. I’m so glad I did and enjoyed our visit. I’m back in town now and discovered she had passed. The world is a little less bright without her in it.
