I'm so sorry for your loss . This is of course my great loss as well.
Lori and I worked together at AT&T for a number of years and we became good friends. We shared a love of Portuguese Food and culture and most importantly office humor. We had so many laughs with the many characters we worked with as each quarter our group would plan and then frantically publish a quarterly an MPF or Manufacturing Production Forecast which guided our shops on what and how much product to build.
One office story of many comes to mind.
I did a lot of ice fishing in those days and I told Lori I'd bring in some fresh cooked fish for her and the group if I caught some. Well I caught a bunch of big pickerel. Knowing that pickerel have many bones I decided to chunk up the raw fish fillets and put them through a food processor to grind them up. I added minced vegetables and then rolled the raw meat into balls and steamed them in water until cooked. I got that recipe from a Swedish cook book . Lori was so excited when I came into work on Monday with what she assumed was a terrific fish lunch for everyone. That was when she asked me what was in my large microwave container. I looked at her, smiled, and said Pickerel Balls ! I will never forget the look on her face on hearing that.
I will always remember Lori's beautiful smile and sense of humor. May she rest in peace.
