Joseph Michael Pepin's Obituary
Joseph Michael Pepin, 34, of Hampton, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Born in Methuen, MA, Joseph was the beloved son of Rafael and Chrystle (DeSantis) Pepin.
Raised and educated in Methuen, MA, Joseph went on to attend UMass Lowell. He brought his vibrant energy and magnetic charm to his work as a bartender, and more recently at Hagan’s Bar and Grill. His presence as a bartender was unforgettable—equal parts entertainer and friend.
His charisma lit up every room he entered, and his warmth made strangers feel like lifelong friends. He had a rare gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved. Whether it was a spontaneous heart-to-heart or a goofy moment shared with someone he’d just met, Joseph gave his time generously and authentically.
He was a passionate sports fan, with a particular love for basketball, nature, Jiu-jitsu, and the gym. Nothing brought more joy to him than being at the beach it was his happy place.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Rafael and Chrystle (DeSantis) Pepin; his daughter, Dublynn; sister, Sophia Pepin; maternal grandmother, Cheryl DeSantis; and many great aunts, great uncles, cousins, extended family, countless friends and acquaintances whose lives he touched.
His spirit will live on in the laughter he sparked, the love he gave, and the memories he created. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Methuen Family Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Parish, 118 S Broadway, Lawrence, MA , with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, C/O Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences via www.childrenshospital.org.
