Joey left a warm, memorable impression on me from the first time we met when he came into the bank I worked at in Chelmsford. He was gracious and thoughtful. I remember leaving the bank later that day and seeing that he had left his choice fitness business card on my windshield with a handwritten note that read “it was nice meeting you today”. Down the road a couple years later I had taken a new position at another branch up in Newburyport. One day, he walked in and saw me in an office and came over just to say Hi and ask how my day was. Although we didn’t really know each other well, I felt like I’d known him a while in the few brief interactions we had. We ended up crossing paths again this summer when he came into a bar I work at on the beach & immediately came up to me and greeted me like we were friends forever. He was a good soul, always laughing and creating lasting impressions on those around him.

I first met Joe back in 2017 when he was working at Autofair Honda in Manchester, selling cars. Our paths crossed because I worked for another Autofair dealership, and we instantly connected. Life took us on different journeys, but fate brought us back together when we both ended up at the beach, and from that moment on, we saw each other often both working all the time for the same companies. He visited me every shift for hours either before his or his nights off eating his Rare steak tips rice pilaf broccoli and a miller lite. Id always say joe don’t you have stuff to do lol and he said yea we are hanging out. Now those are days I’ll hold close to my heart.
Joe was always smiling, laughing, and spreading joy to everyone around him. His smile was truly something special—bright, warm, and capable of lighting up a room. He had a beautiful soul, full of kindness, humor, and love.
He was such a funny, caring, and genuine person, and his presence will be deeply missed. Joe has left an indelible mark on all of our hearts, and his memory will forever live on in the joy he brought into our lives.
Rest in peace, Joe. You will be missed more than words can say, but never forgotten.
I met Joe at the Zoo back in November 2022. I was trying to get back into my health journey and he reached out through Instagram and asked if I wanted to workout with him. After that day, we became a family. It was a group of girls trying to get it together. Joe pushed us to the limits, always made us laugh and encouraged us to keep going.
Whether you knew him from work, the gym, the neighborhood, or just crossed paths once—Joe made you feel like he known you for ever. He had this way of making everyone around him feel seen, important, and welcomed, whether it was with a joke, a story, or just his genuine kindness.

When I first met Joe, I saw a handsome young man with eyes that sparkled and a smile that lit up the room. From our first conversation, I knew there was something special about him. His work ethic was unparalleled—focused, joyful, and generous in spirit.
In the short time he was with us, Joe brought life, energy, and warmth to every day. I’m grateful to his friend Sean for making that introduction, and I’m grateful for the chance to have known him. It’s hard to accept that life can be so quick and unfair, but Joe touched the hearts of our Hagan’s family in a way that will never fade.
One moment I’ll never forget is when Joe stayed late to help an employee finish, not for praise but to make sure the team could rest easy for the next day. It spoke volumes about his character and so many more examples of eager to help and work as a team.
Joe became family to us. We mourn his departure and carry him in our thoughts and prayers, hoping he rests in peace. Safe travels, Joe. We love you, and you will never be forgotten.
