Jean E. Borrelli's Obituary
Methuen - On Saturday, June 12, 2021 Jean E. Borrelli passed away peacefully at her home in Methuen. Born in Front Royal, Virginia, where she grew up, she later graduated from Duke University School of Nursing. It was here she met and later married her husband of 37 years, Dr. Raphael Borrelli, Jr. until his passing in 1992. During that marriage, she became a full time mom to her 9 children, a job she would never stop doing.
Jean is survived by her sons, Raphael III of Methuen, Dr. Paul Borrelli and his wife, Esther of Belleair, FL; daughters, Barbara Endyke and her husband, Francis of Berwick, ME, Kathy McCarthy of Greenfield, MA; sons, Mark, David, and Charles Borrelli all of Methuen, MA; son, Stephen and his wife, Tina of Manchester, NH and daughter, Gina Gaughan and her husband, Terrence of Somersworth, NH. She is also survived by her brother, Sam Griffith of Darkville, WV and her sister-in-law, Barbara Gangi of Methuen as well as 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, countless nieces and nephews, and many more lifelong friends.
She will be remembered by everyone who has ever met her for the sweet, kind, selfless person she was at all times. Her family could not have been blessed with a better mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, or mother-in-law, and she will be sorely missed.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Jean’s life by gathering for her graveside service, which will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Holy Trinity Cemetery, 333 High Street, Somersworth, NH. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
