Isabel C. Dowe's Obituary
Isabel C. Dowe, 94, of Lawrence, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Isabel was born in Lawrence on October 8, 1929 and was the daughter of Charles M. and Isabel (Martin) Chevalier.
Isabel was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. After high school she met and married her loving husband Walter and began to raise a family. She was very spiritual and sang in the choir, was a member of Bread and Roses, the Edgar Casey group and was into meditation. She loved to travel and made trips to Ireland and Aruba. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Isabel was the loving wife of the late Walter M. Dowe. She was the loving mother of Walter Dowe and his wife Monica of Raymond, NH, Susan Dowe of Bangor, ME, Patty Wilson and her husband Bob of Londonderry, NH, Pamela Toscano and her husband Joseph of Manchester, NH,Mary-Ann Dowe of Derry, NH, Donna Crumley of Hudson, NH, the late Kathy Kelliher and the late Michael Dowe. She was the cherished grandmother of Heidi Dowe, Krista Grant, Jennifer Porter and husband Eric, Dianna Kelliher, Erica Noviello and husband Freddy, Melissa Wilson, Ashley Wilson and her partner Joey Parzych, Joshua Wilson and his wife Alyssa, Tara Cretol and her husband Eric, Jaimy Curtin and her husband Ryan, Brittany Toscano and her partner Jose Badoya, Kristen Crumley, Carter Crumley, Raquel Crumley and her wife Katie, and Christian Dowe. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Paul Chevalier and his wife, Marilyn of Alaska, Brian Chevalier and his wife, Dottiann of N. Hampton, NH, David Chevalier and his wife, Robin of Vermont and the late Bob Chevalier, the late Charlie Chevalier, and the late William Chevalier. She was also the sister-in-law of Ginny Chevalier of Peterborough, NH and Barbara Chevalier of Hudson, NH.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment, St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker St., Lawrence.
