I have great past remembrances of visiting your mother/ my sister Isabel and your father Walter and all of their family when they had their yearly vacation at Salisbury Beach. There was plenty of good food, great times, and wonderful conversations. I also recall the good times while the Dowe children were growing up when I visited them at 67 Nesmith Street when I was in high school in the late 50's & in the 60's. That's all of you - Buddy, Cathy, Susan, Michael, Patty, Donna, Pam & MaryAnne. I also recently, While I am reminiscing recollect - when Isabel had her 85th birthday at Patty & Bob Wilson's; it was "awesome" to have seen & spent time with all of Isabel's & Walter's progeny & great, great grand children. And of course the most magnificent & momentous last major occasion families get together - Isabel's famous 90th birthday which was held in Manchester, N.H. (The Puritan Back room) Put together secretively as a "surprise" by her children. That truly was a spectacular "families & progeny" consummate EVENT! She also always kept us informed with regards to the Martin lineages and genealogies. She always kept us/me informed about her children & their particular dramas. She certainly was an "excellent listener" and cared deeply about her families, relatives, friends, and others. In closing - she was very good at counseling people. In addition she really could make a "wicked" good omelet! She enjoyed her kitchen and was a great "chef". When you/I visited, she would make sure she made something for you to eat! And, then you would/could have your meaningful catch-up newsy conversations. Actually she was a very "joyful" person. Thinking of you from Vermont In looking back, in retrospect, her life surely should also attest to be, in part, for us/me, in the end, a "grand celebration" and testimony to her accomplishments and relationships in her life's journey. In short, a eulogy! Uncle David
