lrene and I became good friends while singing in the choir together. I loved Irene dearly as she was a friend I could confide in. She was always honest with her remarks but tried to never hurt anyone's feelings. I loved her stories of her life in Germany and she would get emotional and start talking fast and suddenly she would be talking in German and we would both have a laugh. She loved her brother like no other and loved all her family and would talk a lot about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always interested in my family and was so caring about me and my husband and all my family. I will miss our long conversations and I missed her last call when she remembered to call me on my birthday this month and I regret that I was not home. We shared our lives in many ways and I could not ask for a better friend.
