My friendship with Guy spans more than three decades, having first met at his apartment through a mutual friend for a night of poker. I quickly learned that among his many talents was Guy's skill as a hair stylist. I became a regular customer from that point on. I would say that most of how I came to know Guy came from our many conversations on varied topics. He was knowledgeable and well read, and while he had strong opinions, he could be very persuasive. I knew Guy also to be a kind, fair and generous man. He treated others as he wanted to be treated.
Guy had plenty of ideas and energy. He always seemed to have "irons in the fire". A true entrepreneur, he built and created much, and just when he would tell me he was done with projects, he'd be starting another! Guy had vision and could juggle many balls at the same time. This was one of the ways he impressed me. Another has been the manner in which he approached and dealt with his illness.....With courage and dignity. I will miss him and think of him often.
