My condolences to the Cassidy & Najuch families on the loss of Elaine, such a lovely woman. I remember her as the librarian at the South Lawrence Branch which I visited many times with my mother. My parents instilled a love of reading in me and Elaine nurtured it along the way by helping me find books and making recommendations along the way. She will always be a part of my life. May she rest in peace.

Aunt Elaine was the most loving, kind, and thoughtful person I have ever known. I cherish how she greeted me each visit. Holding the door wide open with a smile, the warmest embrace and always telling me how marvellous I looked. I could always count on her for prayers. How many families get to have a person in their life so saintly. Rest in peace aunt Elaine. I love you.
Aunt Elaine was a very special person! She touched so many people in her lifetime through her love, laughter, compassion, kindness, knowledge and prayers. We loved how she got so excited over every little thing and showed a true appreciation for every moment she had with family and friends. We will miss her joking and teasing and how she loved to share everything going on with the young ones. She was a person who truly knew how to love the people in her life and we will miss her every day. We feel so blessed to have had her in our lives and we're happy for her sake she's back in Uncle Matty's (Mike) arms again.
I remember "Miss Cassidy" from the South Lawrence Library. She always greeted you with a smile. I'm sure she left many happy memories and stories.
It is with sadness I read of Elaine's passing. She was a very special lady opening my mind and love of books at an early age as our South Lawrence Librarian. She will always be remembered and appreciated by me for giving me the the wonderful gift of reading. My sincere condolences to all her family, you have lost a very special person.
