I had the pleasure of meeting and sitting alongside Edna at a party, given by her granddaughter, Colleen some years ago. She was such a lovely lady, who just radiated happiness. Her love shown through, as she smiled at her grandchildren. I never quite forgot her gentle, sweet demeanor. I'm sure her life couldn't have been perfect but in retrospect, one couldn't see any indication of that, if you were with her. In the following years , I viewed the most wonderful pictures of her, with her family. Some were quite comical, where her granddaughters were dyeing her hair, others were pictures of her, with party hat on, big smile, at her yearly birthdays, These were many, right on up to 102 years. At these birthdays, she was always surrounded by many generations of loved ones and always with a genuine most endearing smile. There are few people whom you meet briefly in your life that have a lasting effect on you. She had that aura, something you feel when you are with an angel. She was one of those people. She will be greatly missed by her family but I'm sure will never be forgotten. I love you all. My sincere sympathies to her entire family. May you all find peace, in having had her and her precious love for all the years. My heartfelt thoughts are with you all in your sadness.
