Aunt Dottie you don't know how much you have meant to us over the wears form our family trips up not with your magical bag if we asked for anything food or drink you would pull it out of your purse. then recently when we would get together talk eat and play "45s" you are and will be missed when we get up with all your older partners in cards, we will have to have a big tournament, and a party Don and Bob could always set one up'
To all of us left behind i hope time will help soothe the pain in hearts now that there is such a large void to be fill
We love you all our prayers

My Auntie Dotty was the most beautiful person in the world to me. She had been my honorary Godmother since I was a little girl. In recent years we only became closer and we celebrated most memorable holidays together in a special way (at the 99, Chinese restaurants, my brother’s house, our condo in Portsmouth -with my husband, Kearn, my son, Bumpy (his son Roo and daughter Kayla) from Spotsylvania ,VA (when he could make it), our dog Sophie, her nephew and my brother Teddy, his wife, Pat (and their family, Teddy III, Brittany, Holly, Willow, Teddy IV) Jane Anne and sometimes my cousin-in-law, Karen, when we could all get together for special holidays from Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother’s Day, her birthday (to name a few) and we would always play forty-fives. Dotty and I won at the last celebration together (we had the biggest deck of cards to help Dotty see due to her low vision). Auntie Dotty, we all love you and will NEVER EVER forget you. My heart aches for you and hopefully you are playing 45’s in heaven now!!! From your honorary God-daughter, Nancy. I love, love, love you, I will miss our 2 hour (plus) long phone calls, our many visits to your house and your 3 beautiful and loving cats (Baby, Potty and Pierre) your meat pies, cortons (sp.?) and many other delicious meals and treats and will miss you (achingly) till we meet once again in heaven!!!! 🙏❤️🤗🥰😔 love, your niece, Nancy
I met her once at a birthday party for her daughter in law, Joyce. She was so friendly and kind. I did not know too many people there, but she made me feel like I was part of the family.
Rest in peace, beautiful lady. My sincere condolences to her family.
