Dear Maureen, we are both thinking of you now, and understand your immense grief. You have been through a lot in the past few years, and we commend you on your round the clock care for your aunt. We are so proud of you because we know what you went through with your mom Mary, and now Doris, as well as what we went through with our mom Dolores, and we are keeping you in our thoughts daily. Doris was more than an aunt to us, she was a trusted friend, and our mom's closest life long friend. And loyal to our whole family, but especially to us for 64 years, and to our mom from childhood till the end of mom's life. It's been especially difficult for us because Doris was the last close living connection to our mother. It's an enormous loss. And now Maureen, you must take some time for yourself, and know we are here for you always when you need us. Doris loved you more than anything in her life, and we will always help you preserve her memory, as she watches over you. We hope you now can find some comfort, knowing you gave up 100 percent of your life for Doris to keep her life at the best quality possible. You're amazing! All our love, Patricia and Lee.
Losing Doris has been difficult for our family. As neighbors for over thirty years, she was a constant in our lives. She was a wonderful, loving women with a heart of gold. Over the years she became a caring friend. The pillow she made us that we see each day has the inscription, “chance made us neighbors. hearts made us friends.” Doris was more than a friend, she was family. She was “Nana” to our three children. Godmother to one. She never missed a birthday, Easter or Halloween in which she always did something special for them. We spent every Christmas morning with her. She was generous and showered us with numerous thoughtful gifts. She loved our dog Skipp and always took care of him when we were away. He loved spending time with her.
Our sympathy goes out to Maureen, who like ”Nana”, shared most of these great times. We will miss you Doris. We loved you!

Doris was our wonderful neighbor and friend, as we lived in the little house in the back of hers on Arnold Street. She adored our three children, Donna, Kim and Danny and gave them little treats and played with them in our yard which abutted her land, helping to amuse them when I had a bus day of laundry and such. She had a special fondness for Danny and predicted he would be President of the USA some day. (he has done very well, thank you Doris for your faith in him but he did not become Pres) She was sad when we moved but she took up with loving the next family that moved in to that house, and the next after that. She was a kind and loving person, and always in a good mood. I never saw her cross or angry at anyone. The world has lost a wonderful person, and God Bless her soul - she will be a Treasure in Heaven. Sympathy to Maureen as I know you took very good care of her, Janet and Don Towler and Family
I will miss our trips to Foxwoods, the Curtain outlet, going out to eat, and the Holidays.
I have called you every night since I was a kid.
I am glad I was with you in the end and I did everything I possibly could to help. I know you fought a strong battle, and did better than the doctors expected, partly due to your attitude and Religious faith. You were stubborn Irish and and Aries, like me and you didn't hesitate to give your opinion.

Doris was one of the nicest, kindest people I've ever met. In our last conversation, it is comforting to know that she told me that she was happy with her life and that she had lived a good one. Rest in Peace.
I will miss Nana forever. We were so lucky to have such a special person in our lives. Christmas mornings, birthdays and life will never be the same without her. She was always there for me, was one of my biggest supporters in everything I’ve ever done and truly made me a better person through her unconditional love for me and my family. I love you Nana, thank you for allowing me to be such a special part of your life.
All of Doris' niece's friends and colleagues in the Greater Haverhill Arts Association send their condolences to Maureen and kith and kin for their great loss. We are thinking of you and sending 'virtual' hugs.
