Compassionate Services and Assistance with VA Benefits for Those Who Served

Honoring Our Veterans

At Methuen Family Funeral Home, we are deeply honored to serve veterans and their families. As a locally owned and operated funeral home with strong roots in the Merrimack Valley community, we understand the profound sacrifices made by our nation's heroes. We are committed to providing dignified, respectful tributes that reflect their service, values, and legacy.

Patriotic tributes

We coordinate full military funeral honors to ensure every eligible veteran receives the recognition they deserve. Services may include:
  • Honor guards from the U.S. Armed Forces or local veterans organizations
  • Folding and presentation of the United States flag to the family
  • Playing of "Taps"
  • Other elements as requested and available

These honors provide a solemn and meaningful farewell, honoring the veteran's devotion to our country. Our experienced staff will work closely with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA National Cemeteries, and veterans groups to arrange these details seamlessly.

Veterans Burial Benefits

Our team handles the necessary paperwork, coordinates with the Department of Veterans Affairs, and ensures all available benefits are secured efficiently, allowing families to focus on honoring their loved one.

Gravesite (when available), opening/closing of the grave, perpetual care, government headstone or marker, burial flag, and Presidential Memorial Certificate at no cost to the family.
