Yvonne Faris' Obituary
Yvonne (Nassar) Faris, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Nassar and beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Faris, passed away on July 2, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Lawrence, attended local schools, graduated from Lawrence High School and Bryant & Stratton Business School in Boston. She worked in the Lawrence area and retired from Merrimack College business office after 15 years. In her retirement, she and her husband developed a neighborhood of custom homes, Farrwood Estates, in Windham, New Hampshire, where they resided for 10 years.
Yvonne was a member of St. Anthony’s Maronite Church and the Sodality. She also volunteered at the Holy Family Hospital and received the 2000-hour Achievement Award. Yvonne and Joe enjoyed traveling and made many trips nationwide and internationally. Her interests included politics and the Red Sox.
Yvonne was most proud of her family. She is survived by her son, Charles and his wife, Colleen, of Leominster, daughters, Deborah and her husband, Richard Nacewicz, of Ludlow, and Norma and her husband, Norman Hubele, of Phoenix. Her deep love extended to her five granddaughters and their families, Cara and Cristina Faris, Andrea Desimone and husband, Michael, Heather Nacewicz and Michelle Rubin and her husband, Edward. In recent years, she was blessed with 3 great-grandchildren, Joseph Desimone, and Theodore and Clara Rubin. Her wisdom and love were cherished by her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel, Henry, Frederic, Joseph and James Nassar and her sister Julia Caram.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church of Lawrence. Interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery of Methuen.
