Wayne Donohue's Obituary
Wayne Donohue, a lifelong Methuen resident passed away at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill with his family by his side after a two year battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the age of 69.
Born September 21, 1953 to Joseph and the late Marcelle (LeBlanc) Donohue in Methuen, MA, Wayne was one of three children. Wayne graduated from Lawrence Technical Vocational School. He worked many jobs in construction and also worked for the Town of Methuen Tree Department. Later in life he was known to rake leaves and shovel snow for the people in need.
Wayne was a kind person who would help anybody with anything they asked. An avid Celtics and Patriots fan. He always loved being outdoors, whether working or being with friends. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
He was predeceased by his mother, Marcelle Donohue.
Wayne is survived by his loving father, Joseph Donohue of Methuen, MA; brother, Paul Donohue and Pam of Merrimack, NH; and sister, Kathleen McAvoy and her husband, Scott of Derry, NH; nieces, Kerri McAvoy Maunsell and her husband, Joseph of Methuen, MA, and Molly McAvoy and her husband, Mark Robillard of Auburn, NH; one great-niece, Riley Maunsell of Methuen, MA; and one aunt, Theresa Gagnon of Dennis Port, MA.
