Walter D. Andrews' Obituary
Walter Andrews, age 82, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He had previously been at Nevins Rehabilitation Center in Methuen and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston battling Leukemia.
Walter was born in Lawrence on May 5, 1938. He was the Son of the late Walter (Frank) and Germaine (Bouchard) Andrews. He was a graduate of Methuen High School.
He was a member of the Air Force Reserves. Walter enjoyed any time that was spent with his wife, Mary Ann and their grandchildren.
He enjoyed the lakes region of New Hampshire, yearly trips to Las Vegas, and cruises. His favorite time was Sunday, when he would sit at the kitchen table with his wife, drink coffee, and just enjoy each other’s company.
Walter was very devoted to St Monica’s Church in Methuen. He was a Lector for over 20 years, part of the Parish council, a members of the Knights of Columbus, 19 years as a religious Education teacher, on the liturgy committee, part of the school guild and many more activities that he was involved in over the years.
Walter and his wife were also a presenting couple with Marriage Encounter.
Walter was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Andrews.
He is survived by his children, Scott Andrews, Stephen Andrews, Seleina Waible and her husband Joseph.
He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Kyle Andrews, Jordyn, Joseph Jr (JJ), and Jeremy Waible. He is also survived by his brother Robert Andrews of Windham, NH.

Friends and guests are invited to call on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following calling hours, beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Parish, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen. Interment to follow at Bellevue Cemetery. As a result of the ongoing global pandemic and government regulations, facial coverings must be worn and social distancing must be observed to attend calling hours, the funeral mass, and interment. Due to Covid-19 guidelines the family will hold a celebration of life for both Walter (and Mary Ann) at a later date.
