Violet Broadhurst's Obituary
Methuen, MA ? Violet (Morin) Broadhurst, 92 , died Wednesday January 14, 2009 at the Salemhaven Nursing Home in Salem, NH surrounded by her loving family.
Violet was born March 3, 1916 the daughter of Jules and Amanda (Cote) Morin. She was educated in the Lawrence School System. For 20 years Mrs. Broadhurst was employed with the Raytheon, Co. of Andover as an assembler before her retirement.
Violet was a family orientated women who loved spending time with her children, whether it be traveling on lengthy trips or near by to the beach. She will always be known for her support, patience and understanding that she showed to all her family. Among other things, Violet also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and knitting.
The widow of Raymond Broadhurst, Violet is survived by her children; Carol and her husband Raymond Richard of Haverhill, Barbara and her husband Donald Sylvia of Methuen, Janice Leyland of Haverhill, and Patricia Broadhurst of North Andover, MA, as well as 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also pre-deceased by herb son, Raymond J. Broadhurst.
Violet?s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Salemhaven Nursing Home, Amedisys Hospice, and Elder Services of Greater Lawrence for their care and support.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and Friends may pay their respects on Friday, January 16 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday morning at 9 o?clock St. Monica?s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
