Ugo John Cardone's Obituary
Ugo John Cardone, age 74 of Methuen MA, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital.
Ugo was born on August 10, 1947, in Sessa Aurunca, Italy. He was the son of the late Thomas and Laura (Paradiso) Cardone. Ugo came to Lawrence MA at the age of 15. In May of 1979, he married his wife, Loretta (Ferraro) Cardone, of Lawrence, MA.
Ugo enjoyed spending quality time with his family, attending events such as his grandson’s sports and activities, antique car shows, the Feast of the Three Saints, Italian festivals and agricultural fairs. He also had a passion for teaching and playing both Italian and American card games such as Scopa and 45’s. He enjoyed many summer vacations in New Hampshire and Maine with his family by his side at his favorite beaches, relaxing in the sand and sun.
Ugo worked as a metal worker and welder for most of his life at Andrew Wilson, Phillips Academy and Partition Systems until his retirement in 2018.
Ugo will be deeply missed by his pride and joy grandson, Anthony and his three children, Thomas, Cristina and Philip, all of Methuen, brothers, John Cardone (late wife Paula) of N. Andover MA and Tony Cardone and his wife, Milly, of Medford MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Loretta Cardone, and previous wife, Adeline (Nicolosi) Cardone.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Ugo’s life by gathering for his graveside service, which will be celebrated at 12 noon on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. All guests are kindly asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:30 AM. There will be a funeral procession to the cemetery from the funeral home. Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, the family asks guests to remain in their vehicles when they arrive at the funeral home.
