Thomas Mack's Obituary
Thomas J. Mack, age 71 passed away on December 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born in Methuen on May 7, 1950 to the late Joseph and Martha (Howitson) Mack and was raised by his grandparents Mary Mack and John Howitson. He worked many jobs as a driver. Thomas drove a trash truck for the City of Lawrence, and he drove for Anton’s Cleaners. His most treasured job was driving a bus for the City of Methuen where he drove handicapped children and his late wife Donna was on the same route as Thomas as a school bus monitor. For a period of time before his retirement, Thomas was a bartender at the American Legion Post 112. He was a member of the Arlington Social Club and a former member of the Improved Order of Red Men. After retirement, Thomas was a part-time bartender at the Arlington Club, where he enjoyed joking with customers and friends. He enjoyed movies, especially Westerns. Thomas was a big fan of both John Wayne and Elvis Presley. He was a true animal lover.
Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Donna (Gallant) Mack. He was the devoted father of Jason Mack and his wife Samantha, and Deanna Marcello. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’s memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, www.parkinson.org or to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, www.apdaparkinson.org. The Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Mack Family.
