Thomas Wesley Fairbanks' Obituary
Thomas Wesley Fairbanks died on November 30, 2019 at the Holy Family Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on March 12, 1940, in St Johnsbury, VT to the late Mary (Lenihan) Fairbanks and Wesley M Fairbanks. He is survived by his son Glen Thomas Fairbanks and his wife Brenda and a grandson Benjamin. Thomas is also survived by his sister Barbara F Fitzgerald. He is also survived by his nieces; Maura B Noreen and Abigail Noreen, both of Cotuit, and his nephews Collin F Noreen of Portland, OR, Robert A Fitzgerald, and Robert P Fitzgerald Jr. both of Methuen. He is also survived by his former wife Virginia K Fairbanks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Robert P Fitzgerald Sr.
Tom was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He was a retired Director of Mail Processing for the US Postal Service in North Reading, MA. Tom was a member of the V.F.W. Methuen Post and past treasurer of the Fairbanks House in Dedham, MA. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Philippines and Japan. Tom leaves a long time companion Donna Sipsey and her son Timothy Sipsey.
