Theresa C. (Bedard) Parent's Obituary
Theresa Claire (Bedard) Parent, 93, longtime resident of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday December 29, 2023, at Langdon Place of Dover, NH.
Born and raised in Methuen, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Irema (Bergeron) Parent, and attended the public schools with her eight siblings.
On January 6, 1951, she married the love of her life, Gerard “Jerry” Parent, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Theresa loved being a mother and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing in her bowling league, as well as play cards with her sisters. Her and Jerry were members of and enjoyed traveling with the Rainbow Club of St. Theresa’s. She was also a member of Mt. Carmel Church, prior to its closing and more recently a member of St. Monica’s Church, Methuen.
Theresa will be sadly missed, but forever in the heart of her son, Ronald Parent of Manchester, NH, daughters, Anne Foster and her husband, Robert of Manchester, NH, Joanne Parent of Rochester, NH, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her daughter Mary Parent.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours on Thursday January 4, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen, MA 01844. Her Funeral Service will begin at 12 PM, in the funeral home, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Methuen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Theresa’s name may be made to St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA
