Theresa Marie (Normand) Hollins' Obituary
Theresa Marie (Normand) Hollins, 91, longtime resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2020 at the Nevins Nursing & Rehab Centre in Methuen surrounded by her family. Born on March 18, 1928, to the late Eugene and Ida Marie (Baillargeon) Normand in Lawrence, she attended Lawrence public schools. A lifelong devout Catholic, Theresa was a communicant at Saint Monica’s Parish. As the proud matriarch of her family, she enjoyed the many simple pleasures in life; from visiting family down south, especially Myrtle Beach, to dancing, playing bingo and scrabble. Theresa was always quiet and reserved but had a contagious smile that could light up a room. She was a selfless woman who enjoyed spending much of her time at the Methuen Senior Center. Theresa will fondly be missed, cherished and loved by all.
Theresa was the beloved mother to her four children; her son, Vincent Hollins Jr., and his wife Madeline of Dunstable, MA, her daughters, Ruth Hollins and Susan Raadmae both of Methuen, and her son Stephen Hollins and his wife Sandra of Wellington, FL. She was the cherished grandmother to her three grandsons; Shawn Hollins of Highlands Ranch, CO, Hunter Hollins of Washington D.C., and Spencer Hollins of Wellington, FL. Theresa was also the blessed great-grandmother to Foxx Hollins. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Eileen Roth of Fayetteville, GA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Hollins with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage until his passing in 2005. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law Edmund Raadmae.
Visitation for Theresa will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 4 – 7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 11 AM Saint Monica’s Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 110 North Lowell Street, Methuen. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Theresa’s memory to the Methuen Senior Center, 77 Lowell Street, Methuen, MA 01844.
