Theresa L. Auclair's Obituary
Theresa L. (Black) Auclair, 93, of Salem, NH, former longtime resident of Methuen passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Theresa was born on May 25, 1927 in Methuen to the late William and Fedora Black.
She grew up on Piedmont St. in Methuen and attended Searles High School. She loved cooking and baking, especially her famous peanut butter cookies. In 1964, Theresa started working part time in the kitchen at Tenney High School in Methuen, worked her way to Baker and eventually Cook Manager at Timony Middle School retiring in 1993. Theresa’s passion was spending time with her family; often becoming a second mother to anyone she met.
Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Auclair, her high school sweetheart. They married on June 11, 1947 following Arthur’s discharge from the military. She was the devoted mother of Paula Kelley of Newport, RI, Denise Shaw and her husband, Joseph of Exeter, NH, Janet Liesinger and her husband, Dean of Sioux Falls, SD, Arthur Auclair Jr. and his husband, Wayne Haubner of Salem, NH, a loving Aunt to Sandra Lee Torrisi and her husband, Sam of Plaistow, NH and Dorothy Ann Aaron-Febbi and her fiancé, Rich Woodlock of Chelmsford, MA. She was the loving grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of eighteen. In addition, she also leaves behind her sister, Edith Robison of Escondido, CA.
