Tania Marie Costa's Obituary
Tania Marie Costa, 39 of Methuen, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Lowell General Saints Campus Hospital.
Born in Methuen on August 26, 1979, she was the daughter of Mario and Emilia (Rocha) Costa of Methuen. Tania graduated from Georgetown High School, class of 1997. She cheered in high school and was captain of her cheerleading squad. Tania ran for Miss New Hampshire Teen USA and Miss New Hampshire USA where she became first runner up in both pageants. Tania enjoyed taking fishing trips with her father. She liked playing softball, pool, darts, and cards (especially 45’s). She also enjoyed spending time with her family, scrapbooking and making picture collages.
Tania will be deeply missed by her parents, Mario and Emilia (Rocha) Costa; 2 sisters, Marlene Diodati and her husband, Mike of Methuen and Liane Otero and her husband, Gilbert of Groveland; her boyfriend, Ryan Fortier of Lowell; her grandmother, Germana Costa; her niece, Ayva Diodati; 4 nephews, Gavyn Otero, Karsyn Otero, who was also her godson, Dymario Otero, and Gyanni Otero; her aunts and uncles, Graziela and Jose Soares, Luisa and Jerry Neves, Helia and Tony Pimental, her godmother Ana Mazalauski, Grace Dionne, Robert Dionne, Ilidio and Teresa Costa, Joe Costa, and Helia Costa; and many, many cousins.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Tania’s life by gathering for her calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 5-8 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
