Tahj Colon-McCray's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Tahj Colon-McCray on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at his home. He was just 4 months old, yet in his short time with us, he brought immense joy and light. Born on March 7, 2024, in Lawrence, Tahj was a radiant presence, his infectious smile brightening every room he entered.
Tahj’s memory will be cherished by his loving parents, Alexi Colon and Jovaun Marsh McCray. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Angela Lyons and Daniel Colon; his paternal grandparents, John Marsh and his wife, Nicole; and his great-grandparents Darlene and Juan Colon, Barbara Lyons, and Annie McCray. Tahj’s life was also blessed by his uncles, Reffon Colon and Javian Gray; his aunts, Jasmyn Gray and Cheyenne Marsh; and many great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Kimberly Gray, his paternal great-grandfather, Wallace McCray, and his maternal great grandfather, Gene Lyons..
We invite family and friends to celebrate Tahj’s brief but cherished life during calling hours from 9 – 11 AM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
