Stephen Crompton's Obituary
Stephen Crompton, 62 of Haverhill, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Laurie Barrett-Crompton, to whom he was married for 10 years.
Stephen was born in Methuen on November 23, 1959, the son of the late George F. and Claire T. (Fairburn) Crompton. He graduated from Methuen High School, class of 1978. Stephen owned and operated his own lawn care company for over 30 years, until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Stephen will be deeply missed by his wife, Laurie Barrett-Crompton; his 4 siblings, Debroah Crompton-Coumo of Andover, George Crompton of Amesbury, Kim DeFusco and her husband, Stephen, of Methuen, and Keith Crompton and his wife, Kari, of Methuen; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Stephen’s life by gathering for his calling hours, which will be from 4 – 7 PM on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will be celebrated at 7 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Stephen’s memory can be made to MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. At Stephen’s request, please do not send flowers to the funeral home. A memorial donation would be much appreciated.
