Sr. Yolanda St. Laurent (Sr. Albert)'s Obituary
Sr. Yolanda St. Laurent (Sr. Albert) age 96 passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019 at the St. Claire Residence of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. Sr. Albert was born in Nashua, NH on September 7, 1922 to the late Albert and Melina (Ouelette) St. Laurent. She attended St. Louis de Gonzague Grammar School in Nashua. Sr. Albert was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1940, Rivier College, Class of 1962 where she received her B.A. and Rivier College, Class of 1967 where she received her M. Ed. She was a longtime math teacher, most recently at the Presentation of Mary Academy of Methuen, where she taught for 32 years. Sr. Albert taught math at elementary, high school, and college levels in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Her students loved her and many of them kept in touch with her.
Sr. Albert was one of 11 children and is survived by her sister Loretta (St. Laurent) Jarry of Nashua, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the St. Claire Residence of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, 206 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:30 PM at the Chapel of the Presentation of Mary, 206 Lawrence St. Methuen.
