Simone P. (Touchette) Dumais' Obituary
Simone P. (Touchette) Dumais, age 94 of Lawrence passed away peacefully on March 19, 2018. Simone was born in Lawrence on July 12, 1923 to the late Daniel and Alice (Bellerose) Touchette. She was a graduate of Presentation of Mary Academy of Hudson, NH, Class of 1941 and a graduate of McIntosh Business School of Lawrence, Class of 1943. Simone was a former communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Theresa’s Parish. She was a member of St. Claire League and a member of the Third Order of Mary. Simone enjoyed knitting afghans and sweaters for family and friends. She also enjoyed bingo and trips to Jenness Beach.
Simone was the beloved wife of the late Henry Dumais with whom she shared 31 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Daniel Dumais and his wife Julie, Denise Dumais, and Richard Dumais and his wife Judy. Simone was the loving grandmother of Trevor Dumais and wife Jamie Dumais, and Jessica McLaughlin and her husband Shane. She was the cherished great grandmother of Chloe Simone Dumais, and Zachary Hunter Dumais.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Theresa’s Parish, 22 Plymouth St. Methuen. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery of Andover. Donations in Simone’s memory may be made to Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, 280 Merrimack St. Suite 400 Lawrence, MA 01843.
