Sheila M. (Fisher) Genest's Obituary
Sheila M. (Fisher) Genest, age 69, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2019 with her loving family by her side at her home in Sandown NH. Sheila was born in Lawrence Ma. on June 29, 1949 to the late Leon and Bernadette (Charest) Fisher. Sheila attended Lawrence Public Schools. She was a former auxiliary member of the Methuen VFW, Post 8349. Sheila worked at Stride Rite and Wang Laboratories. She enjoyed playing Keno, 45’s listening to music, and singing karaoke. Sheila also enjoyed spending time wither her family and shopping. She and her late husband Edmond Genest Sr. were married for 46 years. Both she and her late husband were born in the month of June and passed away in the month of June.
Sheila is survived by her son Edmond E. Genest Jr., son in law Matthew of Sandown, son Richard Genest, daughter in law Tamie of Derry, NH, grandson Andrew Genest of Derry, NH, grandson Bryan Genest of Derry, NH, granddaughter Megan (Genest) Carignan and husband Daniel Carignan of Nashua, and great granddaughters Kaylee, Natalee, and Hollee. She is also survived by her brother Robert W. Fisher of Oceanside, CA, three nephews, and many cousins. Sheila is also fondly loved by her former daughter-in-law Kelly Genest of Derry, NH, her loving cousin Ann Marie and her dear friend Phyllis.
Per the family’s request, services were private and took place on July 1, 2019. Donations in Sheila’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St. Suite 250 Framingham, MA 01701.
