Scott Livingston Hay's Obituary
Scott Livingston Hay, 64, of Methuen passed away on August 20, 2019 surrounded by his loving family, at the Merrimack Valley Health Center. He was born on December 13, 1954, in Lawrence, to the late Nelson and Janet (Hutchinson) Hay.
Scott attended Greater Lawrence Technical School, Class of 1973, where he learned the trade of carpentry. Scott enjoyed building and restoring old furniture, gardening, old cars, video games, and cooking for his family. Scott also enjoyed trips to the beach and the White Mountains. He worked for many years for the Methuen School Department until his retirement. Scott was a caring and selfless man who touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished, and missed by all.
Scott is survived by his companion, Karen Hay, of Methuen their son, Scott Hay and his fiancee Kelly Andrewchuk, of Manchester, NH. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Hay and his wife Pamela of Manchester, NH, as well as his in-laws, Catherine Leger, Donna Champagne, Dan Champagne, Michael Champagne, and Timothy Champagne, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Scott will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A funeral service will take be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. To honor Scott’s wishes, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Scott’s memory be to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047. The Kenneth H.
