Sam Thomas Fusco's Obituary
Sam T. Fusco, 95, of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026 with Ruth Venti, niece and Laurie Joslin, granddaughter by his side. Sam was born on April 24, 1930, in Methuen, Massachusetts, to his parents, Michael and Concetta (Galfo) Fusco.
He was raised and educated in Methuen Public Schools. Sam joined the Army, where he proudly served in France during reparations of WWII. Upon return he worked at Flavor Fresh and then went on to work at DeMoulas/Market Basket as a produce manager until retirement.
Sam was a caring husband of his wife, Ella. He took great care of his widowed mother, sister Josephine and niece Ruth. He was a loving brother, uncle, grandfather and friend to many. Throughout his life, Sam was an avid gardener, loved cooking, spending time with his family and playing 45’s. His Shi Tzu, Maxi was his constant companion.
Sam was predeceased by his devoted wife Ella (Schroeder) Fusco, and his siblings and their spouses, Millie and Frank Ferrara, Josephine Fusco Venti, John and Edith Fusco, Mary and Carl Mariano, Julius and Grace Fusco, and George and Joan Fusco.
Sam is survived by his niece, Ruth Venti and her husband, Joseph Antonuccio with whom he resided. He is survived by his nephews Richard (wife Francine) Mariano and David Mariano and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is survived by his granddaughters, Laurie Joslin (husband Tom) and Tonia Schroeder, his stepson Karl and Irene Schroeder, grandson Karl Jr. and Amy Schroeder, and great grandsons.
Sam will be missed by his local 45’s card game crew and his friends in Mesa, Arizona.

Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Sam’s life during calling hours from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Methuen Family Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
