Rosemarie Fitzgerald's Obituary
Rosemarie (Dunlap) Fitzgerald Rosemarie (Dunlap) Fitzgerald, a nearly lifelong resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by her family.
Rosemarie was born in Lawrence on January 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Rita (Stabile) Dunlap and Joseph Dunlap. She was a loyal wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was caring for her large and cherished family.
Rosemarie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Fitzgerald, and her siblings, John Dunlap, Joseph Dunlap, and Irene O’Callaghan. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and family that will be dearly missed by her five children: Donna & Jimmy Harrold, Billy & Nicole Fitzgerald, Irene & Bryan Scanlon, Colleen & Randy Tharp, and Joseph Fitzgerald. Rosemarie was the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren: Joseph, Colleen, James, Kaitlin, Michael, Joseph, Dean, Bryan, Kayla, Christopher, William, and Patrick, and four great-grandchildren: Sonny, William, Charlotte, and Avery.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Methuen Family Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen, with burial to follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
