Rose Marie Gaudreau's Obituary
Rose Marie Gaudreau, a long-time resident of the Lawrence area, died peacefully on Sunday, the 9th of May at Nevins Nursing Home.
Born in 1933 in Lawrence, MA, Rose was the youngest of the 15 children of Louis and Julia (Frechette) Gaudreau.
Rose loved bingo and socializing with everyone. She enjoyed a classic Rock Hudson movie, soap operas, Family Feud and was a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan. Rose adored visits and cards from her many nieces and nephews. She loved to sing, especially traditional French-Canadian songs and had a wonderful laugh.
The nurses and staff at Nevins were her adopted family over the past 18 years she was a resident. They were all very special to her and treated her with the warmth and attention she longed for. Everyone made her feel special and loved. From the stuffed animals she would win at bingo, to painting her nails, doing her hair, and bringing her coffee and munchkins the way she liked it, they never missed a day of going out of their way to make her smile. Nevins was home for Rose, and the staff were her loving children.
She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Their visits brought great joy to her. She was always excited to introduce her visitors to her Nevins family. She was very proud of her large family and knew everyone’s name and birthday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Rose’s name by her nephew, Rev. Walter Gaudreau at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen, MA on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
