Rose T. Drelick's Obituary
Rose T. (Lanouette) Drelick, 93 of Methuen, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at home spending her last days surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Drelick.
Rose was born in Methuen on January 24, 1929, the daughter of Wilfred and Mary (Beliveau) Lanouette. Rose especially loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, bingo and of course, rooting for the Red Sox! Her bright smile gave her the nickname “Smiley Rose.” Rose was also known for calling almost 100 people throughout the year to sing Happy Birthday to them. She loved singing and used her amazing voice to sing in cabaret shows. Rose spent many beautiful days sitting on her back deck with her faithful companion, Hogan.
Rose will be deeply missed by her 5 children, Mary Gaumond and her husband, Wayne, John Drelick and his wife, Paula, Allen Drelick and his wife, Donna, Diane Thompson and her husband, Doug, and Teresa Drelick; 7 grandchildren, Jessica Gaumond, Lisa Demers, John Paul Drelick, Julie Drelick, Kayla Drelick, Christine Braden, and Katie Thompson; 8 great grandchildren, Ryan, Marissa, Mya, Owen, Lia, Elijah, Jackson, and Penelope; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, James Drelick, and her 4 siblings, Lionel Lanouette, Helen Prescott, Florence Berry, and Rita Gagnon.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Rose’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 4 – 7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday at St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
