Rose M. (Abate) Marroncelli's Obituary
Rose M. (Abate) Marroncelli, 96, longtime resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2020 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer, MA. She was born in Lawrence on February 26, 1924 to the late Alfio and Leona (Angeleri) Abate, and attended Methuen Schools. As a woman whose biggest regret in life was retiring, Rose began her career at Lawrence Maid Shoe Company and finally retired from Western Electric. She was the matriarch of her family who enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures; cooking, travelling to Atlantic City and Foxwoods, and playing cards with her sister and her many friends. Rose touched many lives in many different circles and will fondly be loved, cherished and missed by all.
Rose is survived by her four beloved children; her daughter Mary Hederson and her husband Michael of Ayer, her son Steven Marroncelli and his wife Joyce of Methuen, her daughter Brenda Richer, also of Methuen, and her son Darrell Marroncelli and his wife Patricia of Hampton, NH. She was the dear grandmother to her seven grandchildren; Marissa, Andrea, Lisa, Russell, David, Kristin and Ryan, and great-grandmother to Rose, Alexandria and Steven. Rose is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Marroncelli, her sister Joan (Abate) Hall, and her brothers Anthony Abate and Vito Abate.
