Ronald J. Berube's Obituary
Ronald J. Berube, 75, lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Thursday August 15, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital, with his family by his side.
Born and raised in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Lucille (Dion) and Bertrand Berube. Ronald was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1966, after which he achieved a bachelor’s degree in business from Merrimack College.
Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who was cherished by all who knew him. He worked with Stop and Shop for over forty years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community alike. Ron proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine, willingly enlisting during the Vietnam War to protect the freedoms we hold dear.
To those who knew him, Ron was the most caring and genuine person one could ever meet. He had a way of giving it to you straight, 100% of the time, even if it wasn’t the answer you wanted to hear. It was this honesty and integrity that made him someone others aspired to be. His love for his family, dedication to his work, and commitment to his values will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ronald will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-one years, Diane (Roberge) Berube of Lawrence, MA, daughter, Michelle Berube of Lawrence, MA, grandchildren, Arianna and Camden, brother, Michael Berube and his wife, Sandra of Derry, New Hampshire, sister, Denise Skrocki and her husband, Paul of Rutland MA, as well as several nieces and nephews and many long time friends.
