I'm so, so sad to read that Roland passed away. He was so very special to me, from the time I was in grade school and spending afternoons with your family, right up until a few years ago when we reconnected. A wonderful, sweet man, as was your Mom. I'll remember him with the most fondness and love.

Today 7-16-2018 is the first time I heard of my Uncle Roland's passing. I am Susan (Tardugno) Schneider. I live in California now, originally from Washington, DC where my mom and dad live now. Roland was my godfather. I sure wish I had known prior to this that he had passed.
I only met him in person when I was 17 years old, now, 73. I had talked to him on the phone and he was very nice to talk to. My dad, Durant, looks just like him except for dad's brown eyes. I will pray for his soul as I do for ALL family members from Antonio, Teresa, Ann, Mike, Patsy, Clarice, and all Tardungo's who have gone before us.

Mr. Tardugno will be missed. Hello I’m Ray Sirois son of Oscar Sirois, Roland’s next door neighbor. My. Dad always enjoyed Roland’s visit, time on the porch rocking away the afternoon, sharing stories, jokes, and keeping an eye on the neighborhood. Not much if anything got by them! Your Dad was a great guy and will be missed by all. My sincerest sympathies to all.

So sorry to hear about your dad. Your family and ours arrived in the neighborhood around the same time, 1959, and I'll always remember that your yard was "Sled Central", where every kid would gather before hitting the slope across from your house.
Just about dark, your dad would come home in the old Lesabre or Wildcat (he liked his Buicks) and then always say something that would crack us up. He helped to keep us in line and made sure everyone got along. We won't forget him and the great memories that he created will help you along life's journey.
