Roger L. Martineau's Obituary
Roger Martineau, 63, sadly passed away on Friday, July 11th, 2025 at his childhood home in Methuen, shared by his devoted brother Richard and his warm-hearted niece Michelle (Shaw) Carney.
Roger was raised in Methuen and graduated from Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School, class of 1979. He worked for many years at Purity Supreme as a warehouse worker until an injury made it no longer possible for him to continue.
Roger will be remembered most for his gentle heart and the deep love he held for those around him. A kind and compassionate soul, he touched the lives of many with quiet strength and unwavering care. He cherished his family above all—his siblings, children, grandchildren, cousins, and nieces and nephews—each holding a special place in his heart. A man of comforting routine, he found joy in the simple act of checking in on his loved ones, making sure they knew they were never far from his thoughts. His legacy of love, kindness, and steady presence will live on in all who knew him.
Roger is predeceased by his parents Lucien and Theresa (Gaumont) Martineau; his brothers Dennis and Joseph Martineau; and his sister Helene Shaw O’Brien. He is survived by his children, Danielle Martineau and her husband Brendan Leith and their son Lucien, Christopher Martineau and his wife Victoria and their daughters Ariella and Sienna, and Amanda Nievera and her husband Erik and their children Lily, Alex, and Emma; his brothers, Richard Martineau, Donald Martineau and his partner Debbie Paron, Robert and Sue (Ligouri) Martineau, and Kenneth and Kelly (Pacheco) Martineau; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 16, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, July 17, at 10 AM, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish - St Theresa’s Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen.
