Robert Talanian's Obituary
Robert Talanian, age 78 of Methuen passed away peacefully on May 11, 2019 at the High Pointe Hospice House. Robert was born in Haverhill on November 9, 1940 to the late Paul and Beatrice (Cadorette) Talanian. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1958. While attending Haverhill High School, Robert set several records in track and field. Robert was a long time employee of Lucent Technologies, where he retired in May 2001. He ran and successfully completed several marathons. Robert enjoyed candlepin bowling, watching sports, and spending time with his grandchildren at the pool. He also enjoyed taking biannual trips to Las Vegas with his wife Pat, and trips to Aruba.
Robert was the beloved husband of Pat (Frascaria) Talanian with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Bobby Talanian and his wife Karla, Johnny Talanian, Shelly Baker and her husband Mark, and Jeffrey Talanian and his wife Erica. Robert was the loving grandfather of Karissa, Adele, John, Edward, Benjamin, Jackson, Logan and Skye. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home immediately following calling hours, beginning promptly at 12:00 Noon. Interment to follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum of Lawrence.
