Robert E. Salois' Obituary
Robert E. Salois, “Bob” 81, of Methuen, MA, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Boucher) Salois. He was predeceased by his brother William “Bill” Salois and was a graduate of Tenney High School, Class of 1961.
Bob loved his family, and cared for his parents when it was difficult for them to care for themselves. He also looked after his brother during his fight with cancer. He spoiled his nieces and nephews by spending time with them on outings or just in the backyard.
He was a very talented musician teaching himself how to play guitar at an early age. He played with several local bands in the 60’s and 70’s, and passed on the knowledge to family and friends whenever someone was interested in learning.
As a younger man, he was heavily involved with Karate. Often demonstrating his skills to us. He loved the focus, strength and peace you get from studying martial arts.
But his absolute goal in life was being devoted to our Lord and Savior, often ministering, again to anyone who wanted to learn. He is responsible for our family becoming closer to Jesus. He would talk for hours with us about our Heavenly Father. He spoke many times about going HOME to the Lord. He did love life, but was excited about finally meeting Jesus.
Bob will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews; Karen Spann and her husband, Randy of Piermont, NH, Rhonda Bilapka of Methuen, MA, Kevin Salois and his wife, Sheila of Lawrence, MA, William Salois of Sandown, NH, John Vaillancourt and his wife, Doreen of Derry, NH, Olivia Salois of Methuen.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to call on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., MA. Following the visitation, a Funeral Service for Bob will take place at 11:30 AM, graveside in Elmwood Cemetery, 130 N. Lowell St., Methuen, MA.
