Robert Perrault's Obituary
Robert Perrault, 78, of Bonita Springs, FL, and formerly of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Gulf Coast Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family.
Bob was the devoted husband of Carolyn (Heinze) Perrault, his partner in life and adventure for 39 wonderful years. Together they built a home filled with countless shared memories.
Born in Lawrence, MA, on April 6, 1947, Bob was the son of the late Raymond J. and Martha B. (Shrigley) Perrault. A proud member of Tenney High School’s class of 1965, he went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley University and his MBA from Rivier University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. For many years Bob brought his sharp mind and steady hand to the world of accounting, a career he enjoyed until his well-earned retirement.
A man of deep faith, Bob was a founding member of Christian Fellowship Church of the Merrimack Valley, where his warmth and quiet leadership touched many lives. He also served as president of the Boston Aquarium Society, a role that perfectly matched his passion for raising tropical fish—his dazzling aquariums were a source of endless pride and joy. An avid reader with a book always close at hand and a true sports enthusiast, Bob cheered loudly for his New England teams and loved nothing more than sharing those moments with family and friends.
Bob will be profoundly missed by his loving wife, Carolyn; his son, Brian J. Perrault and daughter-in-law Karen of North Reading, MA; his daughter, Catherine A. Wolfe of Marion, MA; his cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, and Jacob Perrault, who brought light to his later years; his sister, Marcia McCormack and brother-in-law Dr. Timothy McCormack of Hopkinton, NH; and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Perrault.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Bob’s remarkable life during calling hours from 4 – 8 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Methuen Family Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Veterans Northeast Outreach Center, 10 Reed Street, Haverhill, MA 01832, or online at www.nechv.org/get-help/merrimack-valley — an organization close to his heart.
