Robert J. Ouellette Jr.'s Obituary
Andover – Robert J. Ouellette, Jr., 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 18, 2022 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA after a long period of declining health.
Robert was the son of the late Robert and Norma Ouellette. He was born on December 20, 1953 in Hartford, CT. He lived most of his life in Methuen and attended Methuen schools. He has resided in Andover for the past 20 years.
Robert was a lifelong member of St. Monica Parish in Methuen, where he proudly served as a collector for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Methuen Council. Robert attended a work program at American Training in Andover for over 30 years until retiring this year. He enjoyed bowling, karaoke, going to dances, and traveling. He was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces, great nieces, and great nephews, always looking forward to family gatherings and holidays. He brought so much happiness into his family’s lives and will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his loving sister and devoted brother-in-law, Denise and Jeff Sullivan of Salem, NH; 2 nieces, Jennifer Crane and her husband, Chip, of Derry, NH, and Kimberlee Simpson of Methuen, MA; 3 great nieces, Hannah Crane, Evelyn and Audrey Simpson; 3 great nephews, Matthew, Benjamin, and Nicholas Crane; and many cousins and friends. He also leaves his housemates and staff at Burton Farm. His family would like to extend thanks to all of the staff at Work, Inc. and American Training for their wonderful care throughout the years and also to Dennis Heffernan, Mass DDS for his many years of support.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Robert’s life by gathering for his calling hours, which will be from 10 – 11 AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 PM on Wednesday at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
