Robert Michael Lannan's Obituary
Robert Michael Lannan, 60 of Methuen, died on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with mental health. He was the beloved husband of the love of his life, Michele (Piro) Lannan, to whom he was married for 26 years, and a devoted father to his son, Christopher Matthew Lannan.
Bob was born in Methuen on September 3, 1962. He was the son of the late George and Frances (Collins) Lannan. He graduated from Methuen High School and was a very skilled painter by trade. He spent many summers at his cottage on Newfound Lake, boating with his family and many friends. He also loved his trips to Hampton Beach and to Florida. Bob was an avid New England Patriots fan.
In addition to his wife and son, Bob will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his 5 siblings, Ellen Keefe of Methuen, John Lannan of Methuen, Susan Regan and her husband, John of Hampstead, NH, Christine Picanso and her husband, Todd of Florida, and Daniel Lannan and his wife, Sally of Newbury; his aunt, Mary Collins of Salem, NH; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his 2 dogs, Holly and Benji.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Ashley Mary Lannan, his son, Joseph Michael Lannan, and his brother, Patrick Matthew Lannan.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Bob’s life by gathering for his calling hours from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
